Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 26, 2026
Apex Networks (“we,” “us”) builds and installs home and small-business networking hardware in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. This policy explains what we collect through apexnet.io, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we only collect what we need to talk to you and do the work, we never sell it, and we don’t run ad trackers or collect telemetry from the gear we install.
What we collect
When you fill out a form or request an audit, you give us:
- Your name and your email address or phone number.
- Details you choose to share — your internet provider, the network problem you’re having, your type of home, and (when scheduling) your address.
- If you run our 60-second test and choose to send the results, the measured numbers (latency, bufferbloat, speed) attached to that request.
Like virtually every website, our host (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs — such as IP address and basic request data — for security and reliability. We use these to keep the site running, not to profile you.
The 60-second test runs in your browser
The network test measures the connection between your device and a test server. The measurement happens locally in your browser. We don’t receive your results unless you explicitly submit them with a report request. If you close the page without submitting, nothing about your test reaches us.
How we use your information
Only to respond to you, schedule and perform your audit or install, provide support and honor our guarantee, and keep records of the work we did. That’s it.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t run third-party advertising networks or behavioral ad-tracking pixels on this site.
- The OpenWrt-based hardware we install collects no usage telemetry and phones nothing home.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to operate — for example, our website host (Cloudflare) and our email/scheduling tools — and only so they can perform that service for us. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not share your information for anyone else’s marketing.
Cookies & analytics
We keep this site deliberately light. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don’t run third-party analytics. The network test runs entirely in your browser against our own endpoints — we receive only the results you choose to submit with the lead form.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and customer information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet normal business, tax, and legal requirements, then we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your California privacy rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we don’t sell or “share” personal information for cross-context advertising, there’s nothing to opt out of on that front. To make a request, email us at hello@apexnet.io and we’ll verify and respond within the timeframes the law requires.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We’ll let affected customers know if a breach materially affects them, as required by law.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be made clear.
